Year 9 Historians Relive the First World War

A report by a Year 9 Student on our recent battlefield trip.

DAY 1 - Ypres
We travelled under the water, heading towards Calais. I was feeling very excited and hopeful and I felt the shadow of millions of soldiers from a century ago making this very journey. Our first stop was Sanctuary Wood. It was extremely muddy and absolutely horrible; imagine what it must have been like to live in! Plus, we found a dead rat in the expanses of tunnels (probably a lot less than there were originally...).. [More]

Students Attend Model United Nations Conference in Oxford!

Model UNStudents from Thomas Hardye School took part in a Model United Nations Conference in Oxford on the weekend of 28th-30th of March. Arriving on the Friday evening, they stepped into the positions of their respective countries (Lebanon, Japan and Colombia), and met their respective committee groups. They shared their proposed resolutions on many different topics and lobbied for support.
