We are looking forward to welcoming our new Year 9 cohort in September 2021, please check this site for any updates
Student Transition 2021
Please see the parents evening presentation below; it has been pre-recorded as a result of the current situation.
We are very much looking forward to welcoming you and your son/daughter to the Thomas Hardye School on Tuesday 22nd June for our ‘meet the tutor’ evening.
Unfortunately, due to increasing Coronavirus cases and the news about restrictions remaining in place, we will no longer be offering a tour of the school on this evening. In addition, our presentation will be pre-recorded and be available on our website for you to watch at your convenience. Details about how to access this will be given by your son/daughter’s tutor in your five minute appointment which will go ahead at the time detailed on your letter.
When you arrive at school you should make your way to main reception and you will be directed from there. If your son/daughter is in Henning or Stratford, you will have your appointment in the Sixth Form Centre and appointments for Napier and Trenchard will take place in the Theatre. We are asking all students, parents and tutors to wear a mask unless exemptions apply; social distancing will also be in place.
Furthermore, all DASP schools have made a joint decision that given the current situation and the balance of risk, it would be inappropriate to run our transfer day on Thursday 1st July where students from all feeder schools would mix together. As such, it is with regret that this day will be cancelled.
I would like to reassure you that in September we will run a full induction programme where students will spend extended time with their tutor and their new tutor group and of course have the opportunity to find their way around the school before commencing their timetable.

Q : If my child catches a bus to school, what do I need to do?
A: If your child currently catches a bus to school, you won't need to do anything. School transport (via Dorset County Council) should update things accordingly and your child's new bus pass should arrive over the summer holiday. If you are unsure, please visit the 'school transport' section of the Dorset Council's website.
