The Thomas Hardye School

Year 9 & 10 french Exchange to Nantes

FutureScope

Last week the French Department took 21 students from Year 9 and Year 10 to St Herblain in Nantes in West France. This was the most recent instalment in an exchange partnership with the Collège Le Hérault which has been in place for over 15 years.

We were lucky to have a week of beautiful sunshine and enjoyed visits to Nantes, including the famous elephant and the castle and the coastal towns of Le Croisic, Guérande and La Baule. The highlight of the week though was definitely the trip to the futuristic theme park ‘Futuroscope’ with our French exchange partners.

The students were outstanding throughout and really enjoyed getting the most out of the visit, congratulations to all of them. Many of us would happily have stayed in France!
