The Thomas Hardye School

National Poetry Day Competition

In October, we celebrated ‘National Poetry Day’ with a competition for all year groups to write a poem on the theme of ‘Messages.’ We had some fantastic entries from every year group in the school, ranging from the funny and modern to the poignant and traditional. First place entries will each receive a beautiful anthology of poems, second place entries will receive a book token, and all lower school winners will earn points for their college towards the Scholars’ Cup.

The judging panels were incredibly impressed with the calibre and creativity on show; it is with great pleasure that we can announce the winners and their poems below.
