On Monday 6th February Thomas Hardye Sixth Form were visited by Dr Liz Walsh who spoke about her career in healthcare and nursing.
She talked about the challenges women face in the workplace and the common experience of “imposter syndrome” and went into detail about the twists and turns her career has taken. One of the main themes was the importance of life-long learning. Alongside this she also spoke about the challenges for a women working in the prison service and dispelled some myths about the prison system more generally.
It was an inspiring and thought-provoking presentation.
