The Thomas Hardye School

Henry Thraves, Lucy Walker, Bethan Miller, Jonathan Hoare

We are delighted that six of our students have recently received offers from Oxford and Cambridge Universities. All five of our Cambridge applicants who were invited to interview in December were offered places. These students are Jonathan Hoare (Natural Sciences), Bethan Jones (Linguistics), Bethan Miller (Classics), Lucy Walker (Veterinary Science) and former student Katharine Bennett (History). In addition, Henry Thraves has been offered a place for Biological Sciences at New College, Oxford.

For these students, these offers are the culmination of a long and highly intensive period of preparation and are all the more remarkable in the face of increasing competition for Oxbridge places. We congratulate all our early applicants for their dedication and commitment to their subjects and for their determination in aspiring to the very best universities.

Many of our students have gained coveted offers at other top institutions. Students at the Thomas Hardye School are able to develop their subject interests through a wide range of high level super-curricular opportunities. Our dedicated Early Applicant Programme supports students who are intending to apply to Oxbridge or for Medicine, Dentistry or Veterinary Science, encouraging intellectual flexibility and confidence in articulation of thought.
