The Thomas Hardye School

National Schools Equestrian Association National Championships
Addington Manor Equestrian Centre Buckingham

A strong contingent of Thomas Hardye students consisting of Charlie Ainsworth, Zoe Kibbey, Rosie Russell, Molly Russell, Jasmin Edwardson, Izzy Whitty, Connor Pullin, Deborah Blair  Matteo Apetino, George Rogers and  Georgia Edwards made the trip to the National Championships after all qualifying for their classes at regional qualifiers throughout the year.  Some 70+ schools are represented and 560 horses are stabled on site for the championships and though we were blessed with dry weather the east wind kept us all well wrapped up.

Students competed in Show Jumping, Dressage and Jumping with Style. We had teams and individual’s riding in the 90cm, 1.00m & 1.10m Show Jumping who all put up very respectful performance in very strong and full classes.

The 1.00m team of Molly, Rosie, George & Matteo just missed out on the final round coming 11th out of 33 teams.
The 1.10m team consisting of Rosie, Molly & Matteo finished 8th overall.

We also had riders in the RIO 90 Show Jumping with Rosie 5th & Molly coming 9th individually.   Great result as there was 60 entries in this class.
The dressage team consisting of Charlie, Zoe, Izzy & Jasmin performed extremely well at this level and though no placings gained valuable experience for the future.

The team spirit and comradery among the riders and all involved was exemplary and lots of smiles all round.  We look forward to starting our campaign again In February 2017.
