The Thomas Hardye School

Another Outstanding Year of A level Results

A Level results

The Thomas Hardye School is celebrating another outstanding set of A Levels results on a par with the record breaking outcomes from last year. The overall pass rate was over 98% with almost one third of passes at grade A or A*. Almost every statistical indicator – including average point scores – point to another outstanding year and confirm Thomas Hardye’s position as a leading provider of post-16 education with a national reputation.

Most students succeeded in getting their first choice of university - including seven to Oxford or Cambridge. A very small number of students have gone into clearing which is evidence of the excellent results and the support that has gone into the application process.

Mike Foley, Headteacher, was keen to recognise the work of students and their teachers:

“We were warned that there might be turbulence in the system this year but we haven’t seen it at here. These are exceptional results for a third consecutive year and congratulations are due to students and their teachers for all they have achieved together. Our Ofsted report commented on the inspirational teaching in the sixth form and this is the outcome.”

Mr Richard Nicholls, Head of Year 13, is extremely pleased and proud of such a fantastic year group, with so many individual stories of hard work  and success. He wishes everyone well in their new courses.
