The Thomas Hardye School

Girls U16 County Cup Final

Girls Football Team

On Monday 27th June our exceptional Thomas Hardye girls represented the school in the County Cup Football Final against Corfe Hills. It was a hot afternoon on the astro and both teams started strong. Corfe Hills went 2-0 up inside the first half but our girls did not give up. Creating and pushing for chances and finally Lauren McIntyre took her chance to score making it 2-1 just before half time.

Thomas Hardye went into the second half looking strong and created chances from the off, but after ten minutes in our legs were starting to tire and Corfe Hill capitalised on their chances and the end result was 6-1 to them. The highlight of the game was Mr Hughes and Miss Bright walking up and down the astro looking for Amy Thompson's necklace pendent, and finally it was found. The girls should be immensely proud of themselves, as the score line definitely does not reflect on how they played, they have been outstanding this season.
