The Thomas Hardye School

When going downhill is a good thing!

Ski Trip

During February half term, forty two Thomas Hardye students took to the ski slopes in Austria. The group was a mix between beginners and advanced and we skied in two areas; Nauders and the famous Ischgl. By the end of the week everyone’s confidence had grown and some of the more challenging slopes seemed easy.

The pupils were outstanding on the trip from start to finish and really enjoyed themselves. Some even showed they had talents in curling and ice skating. The highlights of the week were seeing the beginner group skiing from the top of the mountain down to the bottom on the final day, considering they had never skied before and the intermediate and advanced group going on a ski tour of Ischgl.

A trip will be running in February half term of 2017, details will soon be disclosed.
