The Thomas Hardye School

Christmas Wreaths 2015 raises more than £250 for Age Concern

Wreaths team

Kingston Maurward Floristry students worked with Thomas Hardye business studies students to complete the annual enterprise workshop for the third year in succession. The students produced 30 wreaths during a 3 hour workshop supported by the expertise and patience of the floristry students! After costing, designing and selling the wreaths the students have made over £250 for the charity Age Concern. The charity was chosen following the high profile John Lewis advertisement which raises awareness of the issue of loneliness at Christmas in later life.

Many thanks to Sue Morgan and Tracey Nadin at Kingston Maurward College , who have enthusiastically supported our students and this initiative for three years running. Well done to all who made the wreaths and to those staff and students who have supported the charity by buying a wreath this year.
