The Thomas Hardye School

Thomas Hardye Students Remember

On November 11th 2015, as is traditional for Thomas Hardye, the whole school stood outside the School gates for a Remembrance Day Service. The CCF Army and RAF Sections paraded down Queen's Ave and there were readings by students.

The School is so proud of how, every year, our students are a credit to themselves and the school. For two and a half thousand young people to listen to the speakers and then stand in total silence for two minutes, shows the respect they hold for this day.

The Readers were: David Gray, Lewis Ford, Hannah Corfield, Rachel White, Ada Barume. Hugh Love read the Kohima Epitaph.

The Wreath Layers were – Laura Badley, Jon Blair-Sloan, Katie Shaw, Ben Simpson.

The Last Post was played by – Tom Bidwell.

In addition, wreaths were laid by Gary Batt, Chair of Governors, Peter Foster, President of the Old Hardyeans and Lt Col. Mark Skinner of the CCF.
