Thomas Hardye Film Club Make Zombie Movie

Remembering 'A Zombie Film'.

My memories of working on this short film are extremely enjoyable. Perhaps due to the independence given to us in the development of the script, story and characters, turning a traditionally serious and emotional drama into a comedic satire of the horror genre – specifically, 'end of the freaking world' scenarios. Perhaps it was because of the sheer number of pupils collaborating on the project; not just the student director (Fern Bartlett), student editor and cameraman Charlie Jimenez or the main actors, but the numerous extras from Drama Club willing to be pushed through long and tedious make-up sessions to look like what some drama teachers achieve effortlessly.

Maybe it was the reactions from confused onlookers, or just the tremendous joy that came from the amalgamation of all of these factors.
