The Thomas Hardye School is a 13-18 mixed comprehensive school with 2300 on roll including 800 in the Sixth Form. Kitchen Assistant (XS2.2)
Grade 1, Point 6 (£7.52 per hour)
Approx 30 hours per week
We have an exciting opportunity for a highly-motivated, enthusiastic person to join us as Kitchen Assistant. The school operates a dedicated sixth-form canteen as well as a lower-school facility, where several hundred students and staff are catered for daily.
The contract will be 1140 hours per academic year with approximately 30 hours a week worked in term time. However, the successful applicant would be flexible and able to work longer hours between September and May and then considerably less hours in June and July when student numbers are lower because of exams.
We are looking for someone who has a passion for food, together with the ability to work as part of a team delivering a high quality service across the school. We are proud of our innovative and creative menus with a focus on healthy eating, and would value your input on developing them still further. The school has been working closely with The School Food Plan recommendations which you should be familiar with.
