    THEATRE TECHNICIAN (XS4.4)
    20 hours per week (term time only, plus inset days)
    Fixed term contract until 19 July 2019
    Grade 3, Point 11 - £17007 per annum (£7871 pro rata)

    An exciting opportunity is available for a school theatre technician who will be responsible for providing technical and creative support to all users of the school theatre and to assist during productions.  We are open to discussion regarding terms and conditions of employment, and would consider an alternative method of remuneration.

    The successful candidate will need to be flexible with working hours in order to be able to be present at evening and weekend performances.  Hours may vary throughout the term but will average out at 15 hours per week.   However, the ability to work extra hours if required would be advantageous.  There may be an opportunity to make this a permanent and more extensive role in the near future.

    Duties will include:

    • Setting up and stage management
    • Operating lighting, sound and multimedia equipment
    • Liaising with IT staff over software requirements and system support
    • Provide first-line maintenance support for all relevant technical equipment
    • Ensure all health and safety requirements are met
    • Attend training as required

    Experience in mixing sound levels and some theatrical knowledge is desirable.
