PRINCIPAL SCIENCE TECHNICIAN XS4.1 (depending on qualifications and experience)
September 2018
Permanent, 37 hours per week (Term Time only plus two weeks)
XS4.1 Grade 9, Point 26 – (£12.37 per hour, £23,866 per annum (£21718 per annum pro rata)

A part-time Principal Science Technician is required for the Science Department at The Thomas Hardye School.  The School is a designated Teaching School with approximately 180 teaching staff, over 2200 students including 800 students in the Sixth Form.

Duties will include preparation and maintenance of Science experimental apparatus and resources for lessons as part of our technical team with specific reference to Chemistry up to A Level standard. The role of Principal Technician will include managerial duties for which appropriate recent experience would be essential.

Previous experience as a school laboratory technician is preferable, alongside a science background and proven aptitude for this role.  Training will be provided on site by our technical staff.

SCIENCE TECHNICIAN (XS4.5) September 2018
Permanent, 37 hours per week, term-time only plus two weeks
Grade 5, Point 13 – £9.01 per hour, £17391 per annum (£15478 per annum pro rata)

A part-time Science Technician is required for the Science Department at The Thomas Hardye School.  The School is a designated Teaching School with approximately 180 teaching staff, over 2200 students including 800 students in the Sixth Form.

Duties will include preparation and maintenance of Science experimental apparatus and resources for lessons as part of our technical team with specific reference to Chemistry up to A Level standard.
