The Thomas Hardye School is a 13-18 mixed comprehensive school with 2300 on roll including 800 in the Sixth Form.  We can offer excellent working conditions, a supportive environment and plenty of opportunity for further development at one of the most successful comprehensive schools in the country.  The superb facilities include an on-site nursery and a new sports complex with subsidised membership for staff.

Assistant Cook (XS2.5)

Grade 3, £9.18 per hour, 37 hours a week – Monday to Friday, term-time only plus training days and holiday pay.  This equates to a three point pay scale between £15,166 to £15,778.  (Whole time equivalent of £17,711 with increments to £18,426).

Preferred hours are 8.00 am to 3.00 pm (37 hours per week)

We have an exciting opportunity for a highly-motivated, enthusiastic chef/cook to join us as Assistant Cook.  The school operates a dedicated sixth-form canteen as well as a lower-school facility, where several hundred students and staff are catered for daily.

We are looking for someone who has a passion for food, together with the ability to work as part of a team in delivering a high quality service across the school.  We are proud of our innovative and creative menus with a focus on healthy eating, and would value your input on developing them still further.  The school has been working closely with The School Food Plan recommendations – you should be familiar with their content.

We require an inspirational teacher to lead the Design and Technology Department from September 2019.  You will be responsible for leading a high performing team with an excellent record of success.  You will have excellent subject knowledge with some leadership experience.  An ability to teach at least one D&T discipline to A level would be an advantage.  You will be a committed team player with a good sense of humour and the drive and energy to thrive in this outstanding school.

We require a well-qualified and highly motivated teacher to join the Design Department.  You will be committed to outstanding standards in teaching and learning and have a passion for working with young people.  The successful candidate will have excellent subject knowledge, ideally able to teach in at least one D&T discipline up to A Level.  It is an ideal post for a newly qualified teacher or someone looking to progress their career to the next stage – a possible TLR opportunity for suitable experience.
