Finance & Business Manager XS9.6
Grade 11

Full time salary £30,153 - £35,444

We are looking for a manager to lead the finance team at the Thomas Hardye School and also to support the work of the newly created multi-academy trust.  You will be responsible for managing a large budget, ensuring best value for money on the delivery of services and maximising resources to deliver the highest possible quality of learning for our students.

This will be a varied and exciting role in a busy school environment and you will need to have the skills to work across human resources, property and assets and project management, as well as your primary responsibility for finance.  In due course, subject to the growth of the multi-academy trust, we expect you to be able to support the work of staff in other schools, offering plenty of potential for career development.

We are looking for someone with the Level 4 Diploma in School Business Management (formerly CSBM), or equivalent, or the potential to achieve it.  A working knowledge of ICT systems and applications is essential and in particular, competency in spreadsheet data management. An accountancy qualification is desirable – ACA (chartered), ACCA (certified) or CIPFA (public finance) – but not essential.  Most importantly we are looking for excellent leadership skills and the ability to motivate a large team of staff.

In return, we can offer excellent working conditions, a supportive environment and plenty of opportunity for further development, at one of the most successful comprehensive schools in the country.  The superb facilities include an on-site nursery and a sports complex with subsidised membership for staff.

Further details and an application form are available below.  Please send your letter of application together with a completed application form to Mrs Anita Biles (Headteacher’s PA) by the deadline, Friday 9th June
