The Thomas Hardye School is a 13-18 mixed comprehensive school with 2300 on roll including 800 in the Sixth Form. We require, from January, a qualified teacher of science to cover for a maternity leave.  A particular specialism in physics would be an advantage, but is not essential.

The post is temporary in the first instance, and if you are interested in this role then please contact Andrew Ellison (aellison@thomas-hardye.net), the Curriculum Leader for science, to discuss the timetable requirements that are needed.  Pay will be commensurate with experience.

Data Officer and School Administrator – XS8.4b
35 hours per week, term-time plus INSET days
Salary range:  Grade 6 actual £15,956-£16,932 (full-time equivalent £19,698-£20,903)

The Thomas Hardye School are looking to appoint a highly organised and motivated individual to join our administration team as a Data Officer and School Administrator.  Your primary responsibilities will be to support in the development and provision of data management and analysis within the school. This will include examination data administration and other data administration support across the school as required.

The successful candidate will have excellent statistical and analytical skills and be proficient in the use of spreadsheets.  Experience in the use of SIMs or other Management Information Systems would be desirable.  We are looking for someone that has a can-do attitude with excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish excellent working relationships both within the organisation and with external stakeholders.

We are seeking a cover supervisor who will be responsible for supervising lessons during the short-term absence of the normal class teacher.  You will be required to cover any subject but work will be set in advance.  Previous experience of working in the classroom would be an advantage but training and support will be provided.  The post may be of interest for those wishing to gain experience prior to a career in teaching.

We require someone with:

•           A genuine interest in young people and their learning
•           The ability to communicate clearly and confidently
•           Flexibility and a sense of humour
•           Qualifications at least to Level 2 or the equivalent
