HEAD OF THEOLOGY & ETHICS

We require an inspirational teacher to lead the Theology & Ethics Department from September 2018.  You will be responsible for leading a high performing team with an excellent record of success.  We have recently increased teaching time for religious studies reflecting its importance in the curriculum and recruitment into the Sixth Form is vibrant.  You will be a committed team player with a good sense of humour and the drive and energy to thrive in this outstanding school.

We are flexible regarding full-time or part-time

We require a well-qualified and highly motivated teacher to join the Design Department.  You will be committed to outstanding standards in teaching and learning and have a passion for working with young people.  You will have excellent subject knowledge with a background in design.  An ability to teach Resistant Materials up to A Level and Graphics/Resistant Materials to GCSE level would be an advantage.  

The Design Department offers a range of courses at GCSE and A Level in specialised and well-resourced accommodation.  It is a vibrant and dynamic team providing all learners with an exciting range of experiences.

GUIDANCE LEADER - Grade 9 (pt 26): £23398 per annum (£16609 pro rata)
Part-time (30 hours per week)

We require a guidance leader to work within our college system, which was established in 2012.  Guidance leaders play a pivotal role in the care and guidance of students in Years 9-11, looking after their pastoral needs and ensuring the highest standards of achievement and behaviour.

You will liaise with our feeder schools, draw up plans for supporting individual students, monitor progress and manage interventions where they prove necessary. You will liaise with outside agencies and maintain excellent contact with parents as key partners in every young person’s education. You will also play a role in supporting the careers education programme.

You will be an excellent negotiator with the ability to diffuse situations; you will have outstanding communication skills, the ability to remain calm under pressure and relentless optimism. You will be educated to level 3 or beyond, with good ICT skills; you will already have experience of working with young people in educational welfare, preferably in a school setting.
